Eunice Kim
Eunice Kim’s show Moon the Magic Loser, now up at Canada, might look something you've seen before, but there are many subtle surprises. On paper, you have a grouping of thrift store objects placed in a gallery where old New York Times cover the wall. Instead of being too clean or deliberate (Nick Hess at the Project), her assemblages, collages, and found objects are yellowing, dusty, dirty, and broken. Moon the Magic Loser closes on October 19. Check it out.

ReplyDeleteI love this show. It is so subtle. It's been awhile since I've liked an installation. Makes you really want to spend a lot of time in there exploring. Thanks for posting jl!
